Andrew’s 2020 Top 10 Center Fielders Right Now!

Hey! Thanks for tuning in to check out my first Top 10 Right Now slideshow of 2020! This is the first year I’ve released my rankings to the public, so I hope you enjoy! Be aware that I give credit to every photo in the lists in the bottom left corner. Now, I will list below some of the criteria I and “The Shredder” (which is the list I compare mine to at the end) use for our lists which are different, and could help you understand why ours are different.

My list criteria : I rank players based on their statistics from the previous season, as well as projecting for the coming season. I factor age, ballparks, and injury history. I do not use any bias in these lists. I don’t necessarily go to deep with the saber metrics stats, just the main ones that I think are important. I go by the same criteria for every position.

MLB Network’s “The Shredder’s” list criteria (for Center Fielders): It focuses on 2 year samples. Notable statistics are WAR and wRC+ and includes statcast metrics. The Shredder also weighs defense more heavily on Center Field than other positions.
