Frank Lampard's Chelsea are seemingly either really good at attacking or really good at defending. And which ever they are doing well in, they cannot seem to transition into the other. Could the solution to this current problem be either Chelsea's player of the year Mateo Kovačić or Chelsea's academy player of the year Billy Gilmour? Kovacic has been left out of late and Billy Gilmour is returning from a knee injury.

The Blues will also be without Billy Gilmour, who is still recovering from a knee problem and not expected to return until late November.

Asked about Chelsea’s injury concerns at his pre-match press conference, Lampard said: ‘Thiago [Silva] and Christian [Pulisic] are both fine.

We have a pretty clean bill of health other than Kepa who has a shoulder issue and won’t travel to Manchester.
