Description

This is a visualization Coronavirus India map time lapse (confirmed cases state wise) | corona virus India. In recent days the coronavirus spread in India is increasing day by day. Even though the numbers are low when compared to other countries, its still rising even after lockdown of the entire country. The first case of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic in India was reported on 30 January 2020, originating from China. As of 1 April 2020, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare have confirmed a total of 1,397 cases, 124 recoveries (including 1 migration) and 35 deaths in the country. Experts suggest the number of infections could be a substantial underestimate, as India's testing rates are among the lowest in the world. The infection rate of COVID-19 in India is reported to be 1.7, significantly lower than in the worst affected countries. The outbreak has been declared an epidemic in more than a dozen states and union territories, where provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 have been invoked, and educational institutions and many commercial establishments have been shut down. India has suspended all tourist visas, as a majority of the confirmed cases were linked to other countries.
In 22 March 2020, India observed a 14-hour voluntary public curfew at the insistence of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government followed it up with lockdowns in 75 districts where COVID cases had occurred as well as all major cities. Further, on 24 March, the prime minister ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, affecting the entire 1.3 billion population of India. The country reported its first three cases in Kerala, all of whom were students who had returned from Wuhan, China. The transmission escalated in the month of March, after several cases were reported all over the country, most of which were linked to people with a travel history to affected countries. On 10 March, the total cases reached 50. On 12 March, a 76-year-old man who had returned from Saudi Arabia became the first victim of the virus in the country. Confirmed cases crossed 100 on 15 March, 500 on 24 March, 1,000 on 28 March and 1,500 on 31 March. On 5 March, amidst a surge in fresh cases being confirmed in Delhi NCR, the Government of Delhi announced that all primary schools across Delhi would be shut until 31 March as a precaution.
About coronavirus:-
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The outbreak was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, in December 2019. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020 and recognized it as a pandemic on 11 March 2020. As of 1 April 2020, more than 859,000 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in over 200 countries and territories, resulting in approximately 42,000 deaths. More than 178,000 people have recovered. Cases refers to the number of people who have been tested for COVID-19, and whose test has been confirmed positive according to official protocols. The number of people infected with COVID-19 will likely be much higher, as many of those with only mild or no symptoms may not have been tested. As of 23 March, no country had tested more than 3% of their populations, and many countries have had official policies not to test those with only mild symptoms, such as Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Around 200 countries and territories have had at least one case. Due to the pandemic in Europe, many countries in the Schengen Area have restricted free movement and set up border controls. National reactions have included containment measures such as quarantines (known as stay-at-home orders, shelter-in-place orders, or lockdown) and curfews. As of 24 March, more than 158 million people are in lockdown in the United States, more than 50 million people are in lockdown in the Philippines, and 1.3 billion people are in lockdown in India. On 26 March, 1.7 billion people worldwide were under some form of lockdown, which increased to 2.6 billion people two days later—around a third of the world's population. As of 29 March 2020, more than 859,000 cases have been reported worldwide; more than 42,000 people have died and more than 178,000 have recovered. The United States has overtaken China and Italy to have the highest number of confirmed cases in the world.
