COVID-19: Mumbai's Rising Healthcare Challenges ; Nizamuddin Event Sparks Fears | Burning Question

Maharashtra witnessed an alarming 72 new cases of coronavirus in a single day taking the total tally to more than 300. The state's capital, Mumbai, has become an epicentre of the pandemic.

Apart from the continuous surge in the cases, there is now a real fear that slums of Mumbai could turn out to be a big challenge in Maharashtra’s war against COVID-19, with an estimated 54 per cent of the total population of Greater Mumbai residing in them and 89 of the 203 positive cases in Mumbai being reported from such clusters.

Also in focus is the Delhi Nizamuddin Event, where more than a hundred people have tested positive for coronavirus and a nationwide manhunt is on for suspected cases after a large religious gathering.
