Dallas Cowboys Needs For 2020 Offseason, NFL Draft And Free Agency

The Dallas Cowboys face a critical 2020 offseason with plenty of needs to be filled through the 2020 NFL Draft and Free Agency. They have key free agents like Amari Cooper, Byron Jones, Dak Prescott, Robert Quinn and Randall Cobb and major needs to fill at safety, cornerback and defensive line.

The biggest 2020 Cowboys needs don’t end there, as several key positions (coaching staff doesn’t count) could use added depth or even a new starter. Although the draft and free agency are still many weeks (or months) away, we can take an earlier look at the Cowboys team needs in 2020.

Quarterback is at the top, but only because Dak Prescott is a free agent. Free agency also puts WR at the top, with Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb and Tavon Austin as pending free agents. EDGE Rusher and cornerback are also big needs, with starters Byron Jones and Robert Quinn set to hit NFL Free Agency and there’s a lack of depth ready behind them.

Defensive Tackle and Safety have long been Cowboys needs and perhaps with a first round pick and cap space, the Cowboys can fill them. Other areas worth addressing are tight end and then finding depth at linebacker, offensive line and even running back. Special teams will also be a key factor. The Cowboys contracts that are up and deciding who to bring back will greatly determine the main Cowboys needs.
