The Dallas Cowboys have finally parted ways with Jason Garrett after missing the playoffs after an incredibly disappointing season. The Cowboys news isn’t technically “Jason Garrett Fired,” but rather “Jason Garrett won’t return” because Garrett’s contract is up. Still, the Jason Garrett Era is over for Cowboys with an official announcement from the Cowboys.

Jason Garrett has long been on the hot seat and after giving up with NFC East, Jerry Jones’ patience with Garrett finally ran out. Jones was adamant about not hiring a new coach until the end of the 2019 season, but with the Cowboys falling short of the playoffs (again), time is up for Jason Garrett.
