Davis Bertans 29 Points/8 Threes Full Highlights (3/1/2020)
Description
Now that it is 100% confirmed that Davis Bertans is one of NBA's best three-point shooters, not just out of big men but out of EVERYBODY, and will be seriously coveted by all thirty teams in the league once he becomes available, I am finding myself annoyed that he's already 27 years old. He's in his prime. He hasn't been in the league that long, but he's already in his prime, and we don't know how much of his prime he has left. It could be two years of prime Bertans, or six years of prime Bertans, we just don't know.
Bertans was 24 years old for his rookie year, quite a bit older than most NBA rookies. Where was he before that? I don't really care. All I know is that he wasn't in the NBA. He could have been on Barcelona or Partizan (I think those are good teams, or at least teams with good reputations) or he could have been knocking around in the third-division of the Liechtenstein league where his competition was 50-year-old schoolteachers with stiff knees; it doesn't make much difference to me.
I'm mostly annoyed because Bertans was being WITHHELD from us by whatever powers were keeping him in Europe. Imagine a 19-year-old Bertans developing as the next Porzingis and maintaining healthy knees (something that would differentiate him from Porzingis). The Latvian Laser would have emerged so much quicker. He'd be averaging 25 points per game right now, and if you think I'm joking, I've got a fist that would love to meet your face. Bertans slander will not be tolerated on my channel.
