Elburgon school's top student Kanyotu expresses his disappointment after Form One selection

A 14-year-old Daniel Kanyotu Njuguna who topped at Michinda Boys Primary School in Elburgon during the 2019 KCPE exams. The boy was very disappointed when he learnt that his expectations to join the school of his choice were doomed during the Form One Selection. "I intended to join Mang'u High School for my secondary education but it's disappointing to join Murang'a High School," he said. The boy scored 414 marks out of the possible 500 marks. He expects the government will consider those students who wished to join the school of their choice.
John Njuguna Kanyotu, the father to Daniel Kanyotu who emerged the top candidate at Michinda Boys Primary School in Elburgon. He said he was also disappointed when he learned that his son will not be admitted at his school of choice, Mang'u High School. He said the new system of selection was not done in a fair manner.
