Quick Facts:
• 5th Studio Album released in February 1970, peaked at #4 in US, and was groups's highest-charting studio album in UK #12.

1. Roadhouse Blues – Written by Morrison/Music by The Doors. The song was recorded over several days with producer Paul A. Rothchild insisting on several takes. Morrison, who was apparently intoxicated, flubbed several lyrics and keep repeating the phrase "Money beats soul every time".

5. Blue Sunday – Written by Morrison. Love song to Pamela most likely.

6. Ship of Fools – Written by Morrison/Krieger

Side B: Morrison Hotel

7. Land Ho! – Written by Morrison/Krieger

8. The Spy – Written by Morrison, celebrates Morrison's intense but troubled relationship with longtime girlfriend Pamela Courson. Originally was called "Spy in the House Of Love", a line borrowed from A Spy in the House of Love, a novel published in 1954.

9. Queen of the Highway – Written by Morrison/Krieger. Was previously recorded in a jazzier arrangement during The Soft Parade sessions.

10. Indian Summer – Written by Morrison/Krieger, was recorded in August 1966 during sessions for The Doors.
