Federal Appeals Court: ‘Trump Can’t Divert Military Funds For #BorderWall ‘ @Brad Show Live

(00:06) In a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that asylum seekers have no right to a federal court hearing before being removed from the U.S., essentially permitting the Trump administration to fast-track removal of asylum-seekers.  Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the majority: "The court long ago held that Congress is entitled to set the conditions for an alien's lawful entry into this country and that, as a result, an alien at the threshold of initial entry cannot claim any greater rights under the Due Process Clause."

(09:07) June 25th would have been Tamir Rice's 18th birthday. In 2014, then 12-year-old Tamir was gunned down by a police officer at a park in Cleveland, Ohio who was responding to a call regarding a male who had a gun. In response to the tragedy, "Shooting Without Bullets", a Cleveland based arts program was started to help black and brown youth combat police injustice in a city that has a lot of tension between the minority population and it's police force. (14:56)The three men involved in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery have been indicted, each facing counts of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment and potentially life sentences without parole. On June 23rd, the Georgia state senate passed a hate crime bill. Prior to this Georgia was one of four states that did not recognize hate crimes.

(15:56) According to a poll by @CNN released by a half dozen new swing-state polls last week, results suggest that not only would President Trump lose if the election were held today, he would lose in a landslide! #2020presidentialelection

(19:09) The Trump administration has told the Supreme Court that Obamacare must fall, deeming the affordable care act unconstitutional.  They are claiming that it is illegal due to the fact that the tax penalty was removed for people who do not purchase health insurance.

(21:34) #CORONAVIRUSUPDATE: There are now over 9.6 million cases of COVID-19 worldwide and there are over 491,000 confirmed COVID-19 deaths worldwide. The United States set a daily record for COVID-19 cases on June 25th where 40,000 new cases were recorded. The Coronavirus Taskforce which hadn’t had a briefing in weeks, renewed calls for vigilance as a second wave looms.

(25:12) The three most populated states in the U.S. have set daily records for COVID-19: Texas, California, and Florida have seen huge surges. The big metro areas in these states could see devastating figures similar to what we are seeing in Brazil. In California, the July 17th has been postponed, while Disney World in Florida is still slated to open in July.

(27:51) Despite the surge in COVID-19 cases the White House announced their plan to end funding for 13 community based testing sites, a move which will affect seven sites in Texas, the state currently with the most #COVID19 cases.

(28:12) The CDC reports that cases in the U.S. may be 10 times higher than reported and may top 20 million.

(28:47) An Amazon delivery driver was caught on video following unusual instructions provided by a 13-year-old!
