Description

Learn how to create Iridescent Brown hair by following our step by step tutorial. Wella Global Ambassador Romeu Felipe breaks down the formulas and steps to obtain this hazy, iridescent look using Illumina Color.

Color is nothing without light. It changes what we see and how we feel, so don’t just color hair, illuminate it.

Formulas:
ILLUMINA COLOR + Welloxon Perfect Developer
A: 30 g 8/93 + 9 % / 30 vol
B: 20 g 8/38 + 20 g 7/7 + 40 g 6 % / 20 vol
C: Glossing 10 g 5/35 + 20 g 7/31+ 30 g INVIGO Post Service Treatment + 30 g 1.9 % / 6 vol

Step 1: Section the hair by leaving out the fringe. Taking a curvature
section above the ear, leaving an irregular rectangle at the top
of the head.

Step 2: Take 2-3cm slices and gently back comb the root area.

Step 3: Feather Formula A slightly away from the root areas for a natural
and seamless feel. Alternate between Formulas A and B on the
lengths and ends.

Step 4: work in a brickwork pattern, and apply in a vertical motion for smooth blending.

Step 5: work in horizontal slices across the fringe.

Step 6: At the crown area work horizontally across. Continue alternating between Formulas A and B. Develop for 30 min and shampoo and condition with ColorMotion+.

Step 7: Finish with a Glossing Service to illuminate natural hair. Using Formula C, apply first to the root area and then the lengths and ends. Once complete leave to develop for up to 15 min.
