Description
Jeremy Lau RMR 2020
Hi everyone, my name is Jeremy Lau. I'm a father of 4, little about us is we live in York, PA and we all love outside adventures. This is our story. “Our little miracle” Bentley was born with Chd and has Autism and has now undergone 3 open heart surgeries by the age of 7, both the other boys at the time were 8 and 5 and been riding quads since they were 3 but they were very understanding to Bentley's condition and how as family sometimes we give up a passion to be able to be with the one we love and around one another and with Bentley medical condition that was simply the case, I also wrecked really hard 8 years ago fracturing my back and destroying my shoulder so with this we decided to give up quads so we could all better enjoy being outside together. We decided to buy a boat that the whole family could enjoy and with a plus hoping I wouldn’t hurt myself anymore. Lol Plus like I always said hey my family’s with in 20 ft of me and can’t leave lol, As my family does we rely on one another and we pull strong for one another in our difficult times. Most of all Bentley’s open Hearts, through all this It opened my eyes to the value of life so currently I work two jobs one a machinist 6-2 and then trying to get my own little 30x30 shop doing ceramic pro coatings up and going. I know they rely on me to keep everything moving our heads up, food in the table along with my strive to give them a fun exciting life as the value of life has shown how valuable it truly is and how little time we actually have. With my drive in this is with a plan is to be able to be the dad that doesn’t have to miss a thing and still provide. It’s a lot of 19 hour days micro waved dinners and lots of time the kids spend with me in a shop with a understanding this is how we get that day of fun that Creates the memories we can’t replace. End of this summer we sat down and discussed selling the boat and about getting a sxs as the kids all have been bugging for 4 wheelers as they got older we sat down and decided so we sold the boat and took the money to get a used artic cat knowing that Bentley could ride with me or us in a jump seat and with plans to get the other three four wheelers by spring. After many days of research I found the wild cat to be the best riding sxs I could afford to buy, the best deal I could find for the money we had was 3.5 hours away. We made the trip and after talking with the owner and looking over it felt very secure in our new found purchase. Long story short we get it home unload it and took it out two weeks later came in for lunch let it sit and started checking over it all again. I checked the oil and it was about a qt low in under 25 miles knowing it was full the day before and just changed at a dealer from the previous owner. Needless to say it used over a qt of oil in under 50 miles and started smoking soon as it warmed up. I have to admit I was very beside myself as I genuinely try to live right. Along with this I’m One to never ask for help not because people wouldn’t help but I’d rather not burden them with a problem I can fix and figure out. With that said I’m actually asking can you revive my ride? It would help in so many ways to be able to keep me on track to give my kids the quads and the family vacations this summer I so planned on giving them. I hate to even ask because I don’t like hand outs but sometimes a learned and hand up is needed along the way. So again I’m asking can I get a hand up and get my ride revived. It be simple to sell it and stick it to someone like it was to me but it’s not my character to do this. Plus I have joined a few fb pages and honestly. After all these years of building stuff and racing I have never come across people like artic cat people. The way they look made me like them the way are designed made me buy one and the way the people that helped me along the way will make me always now be a cat family as they treated me as family and family is my code.
