Logan Ascher RMR 2020
Hello from Southern California the 50" trail riding mecca of the country...NOT at all. So what am I doing with a Wildcat Trail? Well, after having our daughter, my wife and I decided that we needed a new hobby. Something where it was a win-win for us, extended family and for our daughter in a couple years. My wife’s one condition was that it would fit in the garage. So we knew we couldn’t follow the “cool” trend of 70” wide machines, nor did we want one of the popular west coast brands. During the course of our research we came across Arctic Cat and discovered we had a dealer 30 minutes away. I spoke to the dealer, who I would highly recommend to anyone, on multiple occasions and he sold me on this brand. He said the quality is top notch and the Trail is an amazing machine, it will shock you what it can do. What he also told me about was a 3-day organized trip through the Sierra Nevada Mountains. One mention of this to my father-in-law and he says, “I’ve always wanted to see that part of the state. If you buy this thing I’ll pay for the trip.” So the deal was made.

The trip itself was important to us for multiple reasons. My father died of cancer when I was in 8th grade and my father-in-laws’ mother had just passed away within the last year. For me the trip kind of fulfilled a father son adventure and for my father-in-law it was more of a spiritual journey being at peace in nature. Obviously, the trip was amazing and a shared experience we’ll never forget.

The Wildcat Trail turned heads during the trip. We went through woods, dirt, gravel, silt beds and over boulders. The other drivers in their 70” rigs were so impressed at how well it handled everyday. One such driver was actually a designer for Arctic Cat and would tell everyone how underrated our vehicle was and how it’s a real “sleeper” vehicle.

Things we discovered that could be improved were; a hardtop, suspension, springs and bigger tires for clearance.

Thank you,

Logan Ascher
