JOB 6 to 8 (Job responds to Eliphaz; Bad things can happen to good people; do not judge). https://my.bible.com/bible/316/JOB.6.TS2009?parallel=114

I found this commentary helpful to understand the discussions between Job and His friends and Job’s cries of anguish. https://enduringword.com/bible-commentary/job-7/

Good things do happen to bad people, but this is part of the trials of this world. Our Father יהוה Most High GOD is the Creator and He gets to decide. He promises not to give us more than we can handle.

No trial has overtaken you except such as is common to man, and Elohim is trustworthy, who shall not allow you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with the trial shall also make the way of escape, enabling you to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Job’s friends feel like they are trying to help by telling Job to repent, but to Job it sounds like they are judging and not at all helping. It is confirmed in Job 42:7 that the friends were wrong. Job doesn’t like it and tells them their words are wasted. This passage is helpful in understanding that bad things can happen to good people, and how we should respond (do not be over-righteous).

For wisdom protects as silver protects, but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it. See the work of Elohim: For who is able to make straight what He has made crooked? Be glad in the day of prosperity, but in the evil day take note that Elohim has also appointed the one as well as the other, so that man should not uncover whatever shall be after him. I have seen it all in my days of futility: There is a righteous one perishing in his righteousness, and there is a wrong one living long in his evil. Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise – why destroy yourself? Do not be wrong overmuch, and do not be a fool – why die before your time? It is good that you should take hold of this, and also not withhold your hand from the other. For he who fears Elohim comes forth with all of them. Ecclesiastes 7:12-18

YEAR OF THE SWORD

Have you ever wanted to read through The Sword (aka The Greatest Success Book Ever Written), but didn’t know where to start? Or, maybe like me, you think it would be more helpful to read with friends? The Word can be complex until you get used to it, but the wisdom and knowledge surpasses anything I have ever read. Every single time I read The Word, I learn something new and am blessed.

All of the readings will be shared here and also are available on our Facebook Group #Message Monday. Join the group to see additional posts and to be in the discussions. https://www.facebook.com/groups/316744902161768/about/

These readings of The Word are based on a chronological schedule. Thank you… https://teachsundayschool.com/dl/toplp/365BibleReadingPlan-122018.pdf?fbclid=IwAR0cCuyj8E-1E8rI6pfDcsOzoMjPPMuyPXsVFhnifd5zhD9kHMtmxKdL3_Q

I read from https://my.bible.com/bible using The Scriptures while showing the New King James Version.
WHY I USE THE SCRIPTURES

There are many translations of the Bible and so it can be confusing as to which one to read. As a general rule, I try to avoid the argument as satan is the master of confusion (John 8:44; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 2:11). However, I have chosen The Scriptures by Institute for Scripture Research www.messianic.co.za [email protected] as my primary resource because the Names of Our Father יהוה Most High GOD, Master יהושע Messiah, and His Attributes are in Hebrew, which is how HE introduced them. We would not change the name of any other person from the original. So, why change His. For more on this, see the video “Welcome and Why the Scriptures”
