A patient in his late 70s returns to the office after 1 years. He was widowed 3 months prior to this visit. Unable to care for his own feet, he was relying on the toenails to break on their own instead of trimming them. That may have worked for some of the toenails, but those that remained intact were long and twisted by shoe pressure.
