A much-loved biryani destination in Kozhikode is Rahmath Hotel, famous for its meaty biryani, led by beef and mutton. Although they offer many varieties of biryani including chicken, fish, prawns, mussels and squid, it’s the meat biryanis that draw in serpentine queues of people especially on weekends.

The white leghorn chicken is cooked twice, first in the masala and next, as the biryani simmers on dum. The bird is juicy and moist.
