More than 71% of COVID-19 cases in S. Korea from community clusters

Close to 66-hundred COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.
More than 71 percent are known to be infected via community-based transmissions.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Korea has reached near 6-thousand-6-hundred.
That's an increase of 309 since the start of Friday.
The southeastern city of Daegu and the surrounding Gyeongsangbuk-do Province accounts for some 90 percent of all confirmed cases in the nation.
44 people have reportedly died as of Friday, mostly elderly with underlying illnesses.
But, more than one hundred people have been released from quarantine after making full recoveries.
More than 71 percent of all confirmed cases were found to be community-based transmissions.
Out of the clusters of infections, at least 9 confirmed cases were linked to the Bundang Jesaeng Hospital in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi-do Province.
And at least 51 cases have been confirmed at a senior medical center in Bonghwa-gun County, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
Clusters of infections were confirmed in senior medical centers in Gyeongsan city, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province as well.
More than 72 percent of confirmed cases in Daegu were linked to the religious group Shincheonji.
Health authorities in the nation say clusters of infections are being reported from public places such as karaoke rooms and PC rooms,... and have called for thorough disinfections and for proprietors to provide hand sanitizer.
Authorities also urged regional governments to establish emergency contact systems with these types of facilities... so that prompt investigations can be carried out.
