Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams and the province's associate chief medical officer of health Dr. Barbara Yaffe provided an update on Monday on the latest COVID-19 cases in the province and discussed the public health agency's ongoing response to the pandemic.
Yaffe reported 308 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 20,546.
She also announced an increase of 35 deaths from the previous report, bringing the provincial total to 1,669.
Monday’s report marks a 1.5 per cent increase in cumulative cases. Sunday saw the same figure, while Saturday saw 1.8 per cent and Friday 2.5 per cent.
Over 15,100 cases in Ontario are considered resolved, which makes up 73.6 per cent of all confirmed cases.
