Coronavirus outbreak: B.C. reports 45 new cases of COVID-19, 5 new deaths

British Columbia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix provided an update on the COVID-19 response in the province on Wednesday.
The province confirmed 45 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. That brings the total number of people who have tested positive in British Columbia to 1336.
Henry said there has been a drop in hospitalizations in the province over the past 24 hours.
Five more British Columbians that have died as a result of the virus, bringing the province’s total number of deaths to 48.
