Nobel laureates Bruce Beutler, Serge Haroche and Michael Kosterlitz were joined by Cathy Davidson and Thuli Madonsela to speak about their best teachers. The moderator was Adam Smith.
SERGE HAROCHE
PhD in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University. He was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2012 for his research about the interaction between light and matter.
MICHAEL KOSTERLITZ
PhD from Oxford University. He was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2016 for his work in advanced mathematics to study unusual phases of matter.
BRUCE BEUTLER
M.D from Chicago University and Immunologist. He was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2011 for his investigations on the activation of innate immunity.
THULI MADONSELA
Human rights Lawyer. Former Public Protector of South Africa. Life activist on justice, human rights, rule of law, and governance.
CATHY N. DAVIDSON
PhD in English from the State University of New York. Professor, writer, founding director of the Futures Initiative, and Co-Director of HASTAC.
