NSW government in a position to 'waive land tax'

NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet says the federal government has arrived at an arrangement with states and territories who are “now in a position to waive land tax”.

“Different jurisdictions will have a different approach because we have different systems to support landlords who pass rent relief on to their tenants in both commercial and retail arrangements," he told Sky news Laura Jayes.

“State government can play a role and help landlords be relieved of some of that financial burden on the basis that they work with their retailers in reducing rent,” he said.
