Nyjah Huston | " Street Footage " 2020
Description
Nyjah Huston started skating at the age of five. By seven years old he got his first sponsor, Elment Skateboards, and by eleven he won the 2005 Tampa Am. In 2008, after turning Pro, Nyjah disappeared from the skate scene when his father, and then manager, moved Nyjah to Puerto Rico. In 2010 Nyjah’s mother brought him back to California. SLS started that same year and with barely enough money to get to the first SLS stop, Nyjah dominated the event and took home the win which revived his career. Since then Nyjah has become the most victorious SLS Pro. He won the first ever Super Crown World Championship in 2010 and took home most of the wins in 2011. In 2012, he won all but one stop including the Super Crown. In 2013, he won four of seven stops and placed 2nd at the Super Crown. In 2014, Nyjah became the first SLS Pro to sweep an entire season. In 2015, Nyjah placed 1st at the Pro Open in Barcelona, and made every Final there- after. And in 2016, after not winning an SLS stop for over a year, Nyjah made his comeback by taking home a victory at the New Jersey stop. He is currently tied with Shane O’Neill for the highest scored trick ever in SLS (9.9). In 2017 Nyjah returned to dominance taking a 1st at Pro Open, 1st in Munich, 4th in Chicago, and became the World Champion taking 1st in Los Angeles. Nyjah is a true force that just continues to win.
