Straight from Leavenworth, Kansas, Sean Malto picked up a skateboard when he was 10 years old. In 2003 Sean got sponsored by Girl Skateboards and made a name for himself in their 2006 tour video Yes We CANada. After dropping a strong part in Transworld’s And Now video, Sean turned Pro for Girl in 2008. One of the few handpicked Pros to join SLS in 2010, Sean took top honors in 2011 by winning the Super Crown World Championship in his second year in the League. Riding for Nike SB and Girl, this Kansas City native is always one to beat. Sean has skated his way to four of six championships. A serious ankle injury took him out for 2014 and much of 2015, but he was back in action last year and looking great on the course. In 2017 Malto continued his consistent, stylish skating, with his highest finish being an 8th in Chicago. We’ll see if Malto can repeat his 2011 SLS Super Crown World Championship win this year.
