Plans for my "Pet" Hawk

So I know the term "My pet hawk" is going to set some falconers off. I recognize the the fact that a Falconry bird should never be considered a pet, rather they are working animals. Treating my hawk Carol like a pet has led to her being a poor hunter and now i am trying to correct her behavior.
