SAF to launch fourth service to address digital threats

The Defence Ministry will establish a fourth service to address digital threats, which will be at the same level as the Army, Air Force and Navy. The new Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) will integrate the Singapore Armed Forces' capabilities to deal with security threats. It is expected to be set up by 4Q2022. The DIS builds on the existing C4I -- command, control, communications, computers and intelligence -- community. The C4I includes military intelligence experts and full-time national servicemen under the Cyber NSF scheme.
