This is Our School, Moulsecoomb Primary
Description
"In April Moulsecoomb Primary School in Brighton received an "inadequate" Ofsted rating, which means that it now must become an academy. This is against the wishes of staff, who have voted unanimously to take strike action, against the wishes of 96% of parents who voted against the school becoming an academy in a ballot, and against the wishes of Brighton & Hove City Council who oppose the move with cross-party support."
We visited Moulsecoombs latest picketline as staff continue their action against forced academisation, following a flawed Ofsted process. They were supported by parents, pupils and the local community.
We think you will agree it is easy to see that locals really do believe this is their school and will not allow it to fall into the hands of a private academy chain.
You can find out more and how to spread the word and support their campaign by visiting HandsOff Moulsecoomb facebook page. There is scheduled to be futher action in the new year unless the academy withdraws.
A very special thanks to Robb Johnson for both writing "Moulsecoomb says" and for allowing me to edit parts into this film. Please check out the full version.
