TOP 10 MOST LIBERAL CITIES in America for 2022! (#1 will SHOCK YOU)

America is getting more liberal in 2022. Particularly in these 10 CITIES. Where Democrat Presidential Candidates like Joe Biden have been getting an increasing share of the vote.

10. DENVER, COLORADO

20 years ago the Denver metro area used to be relatively moderate. But fast forward to 2022 and over 60% of the population votes Democrat. The most liberal area is Downtown Denver and its surrounding suburbs, where nearly 80% of votes went for Biden in the last election.

09. AUSTIN, TEXAS

The fastest growing economy and Housing Market in America, Austin is also one of the fastest growing liberal hotbeds. In the last presidential election the metro area voted 63% for Biden compared to 36% for Trump, a plus 27% margin for the Democrats. Travis County is extremely liberal while the surrounding suburbs (Round Rock, Georgetown, Bastrop) are more conserative.

08. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

Philadelphia is a legacy liberal city. That means it's been liberal for a long time, voting over 60% for the Democrat presidential candidate for the last six presidential elections going back to 2000. You'll be hard-pressed to find any conservative strongholds across the metro, with the closest being Bucks County.

The home to rioting, protesting, and homelessness, Portland has ascended from a moderate liberal city in one of the biggest in the country over the last decade. Most of the liberal population is situated in Multnomah County and around Downtown Portland. Interestingly, unlike many of the other cities on this list, Portland has a mostly white population without much diversity.

Like Philadelphia, Chicago is another "legacy" liberal city that has voted at over a plus 20% margin for the Democrats every single year since 2000. There was a noticeable uptick after 2008 when Barack Obama propelled the metro to a 65% Democrat vote share.

05. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Los Angeles, one of the most liberal cities in the country, is split into two: Los Angeles County v. Orange County. Los Angeles County is extremely liberal with a plus 44% vote share to Biden in 2020. However, Orange County is much more moderate at only plus 9%. Conservatives looking to move to LA might want to consider Orange County.

04. BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

The capital of Massachusetts, and home to a wide array of medical, university, and tech industries, Boston is extremely liberal, with the entire metro voting 67% for Biden in 2020. Moreover, the entire geographic region is liberal, with Suffolk, Middlesex, and Norfolk counties all ranking very highly for Democrat vote share.

03. SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

The home of Microsoft, Amazon, and Starbucks is also home to one of America's most liberal voting populaces. 67% of people across Seattle vote Democrat, with an even higher percentage (nearly 80%) in King County voting for Biden in 2020.

America's capital has been progressively more liberal over the last 20 decades. Back in 2000 Democrats won by about 20%. Now fast forward to 2022 and Democrats would be favored by around 45% in a presidential election. Once again, Barack Obama propelled the metro to a higher degree of liberalism after his 2008 election win against John McCain.

The Capital of Liberalism in America. The San Francisco metro voted nearly 80% for Joe Biden in the last election compared to only 20% for Donald Trump. No other metro area is even close in terms of how liberal it is. San Francisco is also liberal across its entire geography, with Marin County, San Mateo County, And Alameda all also ranking near the 80% Biden Vote Share.
