The BEST CITIES to Live in AMERICA for 2020
Description
Sadly, there aren't many places like these left in America.
The places we’re going to talk about in THIS video are great. Mostly. They’re growing fast, they have good economies, and they’re pretty safe, too. It’s time to face the facts - large sprawling metro areas that were once hubs for economic prowess are shrinking, as more Americans who want values and safety are moving to smaller, newer cities. The shift is on.
10. Des Moines, Iowa
Des Moines is the capital of Iowa - a city of about 220,000 people. It’s been dubbed as the richest city in the country - based on income levels vs. the cost to live there. Look at this - when you look at how much people make versus the cost of living, it’s true.
9. Nashville, Tennessee
Now, just like Des Moines isn’t all corn, Nashville isn’t all country music. There’s 100 people a day moving to the Nashville area, attracted by a super job market and a low cost of living, mostly. Hotels, restaurants, and construction companies can’t find enough people to employ here.
8. Raleigh, North Carolina
If you’re trying to move to Raleigh, get in line fella. This entire STATE is blowing up, and Raleigh is the main destination. Home and rent prices are going up, and when a new home hits the market here, you better know someone, or you’ll be out in the cold.
7. Denver, Colorado
EVERYone wants to move to Denver. And it’s not just because of the new weed laws. Denver’s great weather wise, where the sun shines like almost every single day. Downtown is booming with arts, music and like 100 breweries. If there’s a knock on Denver, it’s that it’s TOO popular, which is driving up home prices faster than people can keep up.
6. Portland, Maine
Now when Portland ranked so high on the research, I had to pause a little bit, since it’s a very small city and typically larger cities rank highly. But when you dig deeper, it’s clear why Portland’s a great place to live.
5. Austin, Texas
The capital of Texas gains about 150 new people every day. People in Austin are sick of the influx, especially the Californians. But when you’re on a roll, everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon.
4. Minneapolis, Minnesota
Minneapolis sure is a good place to live when you look at the data. Here, it’s education and family values that make it stand out so much. Minneapolis regularly ranks high on lists of places to live for science and technology professionals. Minnesota as a whole has the nation’s 4th best school district.
3. Naperville, Illinois
This Chicago suburb is plain loaded. There’s barely any place in the country where families bring in more money per capita. If being near wealthy people where crime is something that simply happens in other cities is a place that sounds good to you, then Naperville is your spot.
2. Overland Park, Kansas
Overland Park is a Kansas City suburb. This is one of the most affordable places you can live in the country – at least for now. The schools here are like off the charts good, and families here all thrive. Divorce rates are super low, and everyone has a good job if they want one.
1. Boise, Idaho
Sorry Boise. Idaho USED to be a place that outsiders would poke fun of - you know backwards potato growers and all. But no more. This is actually a hip, cool place
This channel talks about America, different states, education, travel, geography and what it's like to live in different places in America.
