10 Scariest New SCP's
Nature has its Law, and it is above and beyond any law written by us. We have learned how to read such a superior, dominating law through science and technology.
Before we could achieve scientific and technological prowess, humanity was the weakest link of the food chain. Subject to predators, both natural and unnatural ones, we were prey, hiding in caves, praying for mercy.
During most of our time on Earth, we have feared the unknown. First, humanity dealt with terror through pantheism, idolatry, and magic. Later, during the last few centuries, we have developed advanced science and technology, which have helped us grow in numbers and fighting capabilities. Religions, as well, have helped us to grow our sense of belonging and shared goals, as we looked for transcendence.
Currently, we have achieved an unparalleled degree of self-determination, as our oldest, deepest fears are primarily contained.
This achievement is not casual. It is the result of the SCP Foundation’s organized endeavor to locate and contain individuals, entities, locations, and objects that violate natural law (referred to as SCPs).
The most strict security policies protected the information we are going to share with you until recent events demanded more decisive action. As secrecy was becoming increasingly dangerous for communities and entire cities around the world, the declassification of these files is of utmost importance and, in this regard, wholly justified and approved by the SCP Foundation.
Watch and digest all the information you can, until the end. Every detail published here can make a difference for you, your team, and everyone inside your community.
Number 10: SCP-5104
SCP-5104-1 complies with all the necessary features to be considered as an anomalous individual. The documented sightings and studies about this entity describe a series of unnatural events that raised the Foundation’s attention. This creature is a twisted entity that looks like a protracted, segmented vertebral column with a raised crest on top of a seemingly, discernable head. The column has pairs of curved appendages attached without any explained mechanical functionality or clear physiology. This complex pseudo-skeleton follows an almost organic configuration. The sets of braces are arranged in decreasing order of size, from the discernable top or head, through what could be called the tail of the entity. The origin and biochemical composition of the SCP-5104-1 are unknown.
Yet, the SCP-5104 is the collective designation for an anomalous relationship with Pol-9224, not only the individual involved. Research about this relationship has demonstrated that SCP-5104-1 is an entity that is not dangerous for humans. Pol-9224, a chiropractor, does not show anomalous behavior or features, other than its communication with SCP-5104-1.
Although still unexplained, SCP-5104-1 only communicates telepathically with Pol-9224. SCP-5104, until now, is similar to a professional relationship between client and chiropractor.
Still, the SCP-5104-1 has caused major public disruptions due to its evident unnatural appearance and behavior. Civilian witnesses have been amnesticized, to secure the containment procedures appropriately. Only Pol-9224 has the required credentials to establish a relationship with the SCP-5104-1 entity. However, the link is strictly surveilled, as a preventive measure.
Number 9. SCP-5932
Working for the SCP Foundation is a heroic effort. The work-related risks are the highest imaginable and even worst.
The 5931-001 incident brought a disruptive end to the promising career of Charlotte Violet Owens, after severe but optimistic experimentation.
As a competent security agent, Ms. Owens acquired anomalous abilities after her accidental exposure to unknown energy types during MTF ζ-12 operative.
Presumably, an anomalous space-time disruption caused a random timeframe, which enabled SCP-5932 spontaneous duplication.
Although the shared conscience and autonomy of the duplicated entities were considered promising initially, it later became evidently hazardous. It required extreme contention measures, which resulted in the effective decommission of the object.
Number 8. SCP-3626
Curiosity drives scientific and technological development. The Foundation has used it as one of the most influential research tools, but as most qualities, when it is not coupled with competence, curiosity is a significant risk.
SCP-3626 is one of the simplest and most complex to contain entities.
