10. The Black Widow Nebula

Space, the final frontier. When we think about space we think about all the cool stuff that could be hidden in it. Life on other worlds, other habitable planets, that sort of thing. But space is a terrifying place, and not just because of insane stellar constructs like black holes. Nebulae and Galaxies themselves can look like terrifying things from right here on Earth!

Take for example the Black Widow Nebula. What we’re actually seeing here are two outflows of dust and stellar material, as stars form in the central area where the two bubbles overlap. Usually only one bubble forms like this, but astronomers believe that a large cloud of gas and dust would have condensed to create more than one cluster of massive star formation. The solar winds from these star production areas would have blown two bubbles out, one in either way, instead of just one bubble. That’s what gave this nebula its creepy, yet distinctive, black widow shape.

9.Katy Perry’s Stalker

This picture of Rhianna and Katy Perry was taken back in 2012 at the Grammys when the pair were still on speaking terms with one another. These days the two aren’t friends at all, and Rihanna didn’t even get invited to her wedding with Orlando Bloom! That’s pretty shocking, too, considering when Katy Perry got married to Russell Brand in 2010 Rihanna was all over it, like, she literally organised most of the hen night. But hey, you’re not here to listen to me gossip on celebrities, you’re here to talk about the creepy dude that can clearly be seen underneath Katy Perry’s chair.

The paparazzi love to get a sneaky snap of celebrities while they’re doing their thing at events, and the Grammys in 2012 were no different. Tons of pictures were likely taken over the course of the night, but in this one, the paparazzi got far more than they likely bargained for. In the bottom right hand of the picture, you can clearly see that someone is creepily lurking underneath Katy Perry’s chair! We’re not sure who this guy is, or why he’s decided to sneak under Perry’s chair during the event, but it’s pretty weird and definitely spooky when you catch his eye in the photo!

8.On The Car

We’re not sure exactly where this picture was taken, but we do know some of the basics regarding its story. The girl in the photo decided to snap a selfie while she was waiting for her to come out and join her. What she didn’t realise was that someone was photobombing the rear windscreen at the time, in fact, it almost looks like he’s being run over by the car itself!

So, what do we at FactFile think is going on here? Crash for cash. It’s a scam deliberately engineered to try and get insurance payouts when there have been absolutely no crimes or injuries. We see it on dashcam footage all the time these days. Someone will be driving along and then, out of nowhere, someone literally throws themselves onto the car. The guy in this picture may have seen the girl with her phone out, thought she was trying to take a video, and then jumped on the back of her car as if she had hit him while reversing. While we aren’t sure if that is what’s actually happening in this image, it does seem pretty likely.

7.The Girls Night In

Honestly, I feel like one of the scariest things that could ever happen in a picture would be someone looming out of the shadows behind you after you take the snap. I mean, what’s creepier than thinking you’re alone when you’re really not? Again, we’re not sure exactly where or when this photo was taken, but it’s basically my worst nightmare realised.

Five women are having fun and taking a bath together after a night of partying. But, if you take a look at the window above them then there’s something pretty strange in the window. A sixth person, looing out from the darkness. You can clearly see a handprint with a strange face peering into the bathroom.

The face of the person doesn’t have any detail and instead looks much more like a mask used to hide the peeping toms identity. No one has ever figured out who this person is, and some people have even theorised that it might be a ghost due to the lack of facial features. More likely though, this person is some kind of a stalker and has tracked one of these women down to their party. Now, he’s getting an eyeful through the opaque window where no one can see him!
