Top 10 world's most innovative country | innovative economies | global innovative Index 2021

Innovation is widely recognized as a central driver of economic growth and development. The aim of the Global Innovation Index is to provide insightful data on innovation and, in turn, to assist economies in evaluating their innovation performance and making informed innovation policy considerations.

The ranking includes factors such as research and development expenditures, the number of domestic patent applications and the number of domestic public high-tech companies.

Bloomberg looked at the economies of 200 countries, analysing various criteria with data provided by bodies such as the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the International Labor Organization (ILO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
