Top 5 Scariest Bridges in the World You Should Consider NOT to Cross

Number Five. Capilano Suspension Bridge - Vancouver.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is a simple suspension bridge crossing the Capilano River in the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The current bridge is 140 metres long and 70 metres above the river. It is part of a private facility with an admission fee, and draws over 1.2 million visitors per year. The bridge was originally built in 1889 by George Grant Mackay, a Scottish civil engineer and park commissioner for Vancouver. It was originally made of hemp ropes with a deck of cedar planks, and was replaced with a wire cable bridge in 1903. There have been a few deaths on the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver such as an American high school student died in 2010 after climbing over a railing.

Number four. Carrick A Rede Rope bridge - Ireland.
Ireland’s Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge offers a shaky pathway to a small island. The bridge is relatively short – around 66 feet. The Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge has woven its way between Carrick Island and the County Antrim mainland for over 250 years. Swaying 30 metres above the ocean might not seem like the most relaxing way to undertake this 20-metre journey, but things have come a long way.Back in the 1970s, this crossing comprised just one handrail and a handful of gapped wooden planks. Today, although there’s a subtle shake to this sturdy bridge – just enough to thrill you – you’re in far safer hands.
