Many Veterans want to know how to get a 100 VA Disability Rating.

It is probably one of the most commonly asked questions.

I am here to explain and give seven tips on how to obtain a 100% VA Disability Rating.

First and foremost, the #1 thing to keep in mind is that not everyone rates a 100 VA Disability Rating!

This might come as a shock to some, but it is the truth.

We NEVER encourage Veterans to lie or stretch the truth in an attempt to obtain a 100% VA Disability Rating unethically.

If you do believe that you are entitled to a 100% VA Disability Rating, morally and ethically, then this video and information are for you!

Here are my Seven Tips that are needed to get a 100% VA Disability Rating by the VA:

Tip #1 - Use the Secure Messaging Tool on MyHealtheVet!

Seriously, anything you send in via the Secure Messaging Tool is documented in your VA Medical Records.

Medical Evidence is KEY to winning your VA Disability Claims!

Tip #2 - File High-Value VA Claims!

This is not a term used by the VA, but rather a phrase we coined at VA Claims Insider.

High-Value Claims are those that are rated at 30% or higher.

When it comes to filing VA Claims, we encourage Veterans to file claims for Mental Health Disorders, PTSD, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Migraines, etc.

This is because these have the potential to be rated at 30% or more.

Tip #3 - Obtain Disability Benefit Questionnaires

If you are already Service Connected for a Condition, ALL YOU NEED is documentation stating that your condition is worse.

The best way, in our opinion, to do this is to obtain a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ).

Often, from our experience, simply submitting a DBQ will, in some cases, limit the chance of having a C&P Exam.

Tip #4 - Secondary Service Connection!

This is probably one of the best-kept secrets from Veterans, but here it is!

Secondary Service Connection is beneficial because you CAN be rated for an injury or condition that was caused or made worse by an already Service-Connected Disability.

The three requirements for Secondary Service Connection are:

-Diagnosis or the condition you are trying to connect
-Evidence of a current Primary Service-Connected Disability
-Must provide a Medical Nexus Evidence establishing a connection between the two disabilities

Tip #5 - Obtain Buddy Letters!

A Buddy Letter is nothing more than a competent and credible statement from a first-hand witness.

This could be from anybody who can shed some light on what is going on with your current condition.

Tip #6 - Compensation & Pension Exam (C&P)

Arguably the most IMPORTANT day of your entire Disability Claims Process.

You must one, show up to these exams, and two be uncomfortably vulnerable!

Always attend these exams if it were your WORST day.

Tip #7 - Total Disability Individual Unemployability (TDIU)

TDIU is a way to obtain a 100% VA Disability Rating, but it has two requirements:

-You must already have one or more service-connected disabilities rated at 60% OR.
-Two or more service-connected disabilities with one rated at 40% or higher and a combined rating at 70% or more.

You must be unable to obtain substantially gainful employment.

If you are a Veteran who thinks you qualify for a 100% VA Disability Rating but are unsure of where to start, we at VA Claims Insider are standing by to assist!

We are Veterans helping Veterans get the VA Rating and Compensation that they deserve!

If you need more medical evidence, we can connect you with vetted Independent Medical Providers within our referral network who can conduct and provide you with the following:

-Disability Exams
-Documentation of Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ's)
-Write competent and credible Medical Nexus Letters.
