On Twitch there are a few streamers who are different from the rest. Their streams, communities, and practices differ from everyone else on Twitch.



I had the awesome opportunity to sit down with one of the best examples of this. One of the most interesting streamers on Twitch, MoonMoon. We did a deep dive into how he thinks about streaming, success, and his mindset.



Previously known as MoonMoonOW and MoonMoon_OW, MoonMoon runs an improv comedy stream with over 10,000 concurrent viewers consistently. He is one of the largest streamers on Twitch and holds one of the highest subscriber ratios of any streamer. Despite this he doesn't take any sponsors or outside money. MoonMoon maintains a 30-40% growth rate year over year when most streamers on Twitch are losing viewership by playing variety games. He breaks a lot of rules, and brings a consistent, entertaining show.


MoonMoon got his start as MoonMoon_OW for his top tier Overwatch plays. He started to get recognized via streaming with a successful Twitch streamer a_seagull, and his success catapulted as people came to love his charm and fast paced improv comedy.
