Want to transfer your tissue sewing patterns to sturdier craft paper/oak tag? This easy method shows how to trace the pattern, add notches and draft grain lines and other markings. And you can do this using inexpensive kraft paper on a roll.

Tools needed for transferring sewing patterns
*Tracing wheel
* Kraft paper, oak tag, poster board or other sturdy paper
*Pattern weights or other heavy objects
*Pattern notcher
*Ruler
*Marking pen
*An iron to press the pattern and keeping it from rolling up

Step 1
Trace around the pattern edges using a tracing wheel
Step 2
Trace over the notches
Step 3
Trace the grainlines and other markings
Step 4
Cut out the pattern
Step 5
Cut the notches
Step 6
Mark grainline and other lines with a pen
Step 7
Iron the kraft paper flat
Step 8
Prep the pattern for hanging storage
