A motley alliance of Israeli parties on Sunday ousted Benjamin Netanyahu, the country's longest-serving prime minister, and formed a new government in a seismic shift in the country's turbulent politics. Naftali Bennett, a right-wing Jewish nationalist and former tech millionaire, was to take over at the helm of the eight-party bloc, united only by their shared disdain for the hawkish right-wing leader known as Bibi.

Two opposition parties of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday accused the Ram Mandir Trust set up by the centre last year of pulling off an illicit land deal in Ayodhya.

The temple body has brushed the charge aside as frivolous.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Telangana government has bought Kia Carnival cars worth Rs 23-30 lakh for 32 Additional District Collectors amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This move has received a lot of backlash from the opposition that has called this purchase a 'criminal surge' as the state reels under a debt of Rs 40,000 crore.

CM Rao inspected the vehicles that were flagged off on Sunday by Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar in the presence of Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar at CM's residence in Hyderabad.

Tesla Inc Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk tweeted on Sunday that the electric carmarker will resume allowing bitcoin transactions when miners who verify transactions use more renewable energy. Bitcoin surged 9.8% to $39,035.47 on Sunday, adding $3,492.71 to its previous close.
