I made this video as a response to getting asked numerous times, for quite a while now, why don’t I make “crash analysis” videos. I frequently get tagged on Facebook, get emailed YouTube links, posts sent to me on Instagram, people showing me clips, etc. all asking me to explain why someone crashed. My answer is always the same, I have no clue. If I did, it would be obvious like the rider grabbed the front brake mid-turn—and if the rider did that, you can see that yourself and don’t need me to make a video about it. There are too many unknown variables to give any insight to a crash therefore I think it’s dishonest to do so. I don’t watch videos of riders crashing anyway, it’s not something I enjoy or find beneficial. Additionally, I often make videos in the same manner. If I keep getting asked the same question and I think it’ll be beneficial, I’ll make a video about it. That’s why I made a video about the rear brake, another about explaining where the nickname Fast Eddie came from and coming soon, another passenger riding video to name a few. In short, no need to send me crash videos, I don’t care to watch them or have any idea what happened.

My vision is to inspire riders to wear full gear, take courses, and practice in order to reduce crashes on the public roads.
