10 Worst States to be a renter.

Did you know 36.6% of the US population rents their living space? According to the US Census Bureau, people rent houses, apartments, mobile homes, and boats. They don’t count living in a van down by the river. Growing up the American dream for most people was to own some land, buy a house or at least get a condo. More and more people started thinking homeownership wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. It was probably about the time the country started coming out of the recession about 2013 they noticed a shift in the desire of young adults to own a home. More and more were willing to rent. They didn’t want the headache. In some ways it made sense. If you have a mortgage the bank really owns the house you are building equity but they own it. If the roof leaks when you’re renting that’s somebody else problem, water heater goes out, call the landlord not your credit card to see if you can afford a new one. The list goes on. If that is how you want to live, that’s great. But some places renting sucks. And most of the time it boils down to cost vs income like in the states on this list.
