We are saddened that our performances, events, PNB School classes, and public programming have been cancelled through the end of the season. At this time, we don’t know when we will be able to perform for you again or welcome our 1500 ballet students back to class. A small staff is working diligently to continue baseline operations, transition PNB School classes online, continue paying health insurance premiums for PNB’s employees, and secure the resources to fund our eventual return. With 75% of PNB’s annual revenue coming from subscriptions, ticket sales, and School tuition, our situation becomes more precarious the longer we are unable to prepare for or conduct performances, or open studios for PNB School classes.

And yet, in this time of great uncertainty, we choose hope. Under these extraordinary circumstances, PNB School students are receiving personalized instruction from our faculty in their homes, and our dancers and musicians continue to inspire and delight audiences around the world with their artistry via our social media channels. And we maintain a vision of gathering again in the sacred space created by artists and audiences: To bring that vision to life, we are calling on you, our community, to ensure Pacific Northwest Ballet’s future.

We have established a Relief Fund with an ambitious goal of $3 million. Gifts of all sizes will help offset losses incurred, keep employee benefits intact, and fund our return to the stage when it’s safe to do so.
