Description

In this episode of Cabin in the Woods, we wrap up our soffit, start preparing for our versetta stone siding wainscot, and finally start framing our Cedar porch. I share our method for installing our porch column brackets, how we are able to cut thru our 6x6 cedar in one clean pass, and our connection details on our porch post and header detail. Don't worry, more connection detail work to come!

I show a soffit installation detail that I am asked constantly about. I am not a fan of installing a bird box where the rake and eave meet. I also share a standing seam trim detail that allows us to have a fastener free gable trim later on down the road.

There is a ton of work being completed in this video, please leave any questions or comments down below and I will answer them as best I can.
