Cut yarn with a long tail for you to sew this onto your main work. Slip stitch in the first space of the next row. Pull yarn through the loop on your hook to create a knot. Pull yarn into the inside of the project. Knot both tails of yarn together.
Assembly:
Ears - Take 1 of the 6 pieces we made. Fold it in half long ways so the main opening is folded on top of itself (Hotdog style for you moms out there). You will place the folded ear against the side of the head level with the top. Pretend you laid a ruler on the top of the sheep's head. You will place the ear right below the ruler. The open side of the fold should be facing towards the front so if you were looking at the face of the sheep you would be able to see the inside of the ear. Thread your yarn tail into your yarn needle. Sew the ear onto the head keeping the ear pinned to the head exactly where you want it to be. Once you get all the way around. Tie a knot to keep it closed and secure. Thread yarn through the body of the sheep and cut off any remaining tail. (See Tutorial if you need more explanation)
Repeat for Ear Number 2.
Legs - Take 1 of the 4 pieces remaining. Thread the tail into the yarn needle. Stuff the leg with Poly-Fil or whatever stuffing you are using. Looking at the belly part of the Sheep, divide the sheep in half. Place the first leg on the Left side close to the invisible line used to divide the sheep. And Right where the rows of wool stop either increasing or decreasing. (Watch tutorial for a close up view of what I am talking about here for extra guidance).
Hold leg there while you sew it to the main body of the work. When you have sewn all the way around, tie a knot and sew the remaining thread through the body of the sheep. Cutting off any remain tail.
Leg #2 Repeat same process as leg 1 but on the Right Side of that invisible line. Trying to keep symmetry by placing leg the same distance from the invisible line as you did leg 1.
Leg 3 Repeat same process as leg 1 but on the Left side back right before where the increases or decreases rows are. (Refer to video tutorial if you need extra guidance)
Leg 4 Repeat same process as leg 1 but on the Right Side back keeping in symmetry with Leg #3.
Attaching Tail:
Thread yarn into yarn needle. Place tail above the closing whole at the back of the work. Try to keep in line with that invisible line dividing the sheep equally in half. Hold tail to body while sewing to keep it in place. (Refer to video tutorial for further guidance)
Eyes:
You can either sew on button eyes or you can embroider eyes on with yarn. In my Tutorial I embroider the eyes onto the sheep. It is hard to write an explanation of how I do that so I will just refer you to my video tutorial. Thanks!
THAT's IT!!! You have just completed the Super Cute Crocheted Sheep. I hope you love him.
