ISL 2019-20 Week 8 Top 10 Goals ft. Brandon Fernandes, Sougou & Rafael Crivellaro

A total of sixteen goals were scored in five fixtures in the past week.

In what was a scintillating week in the Indian Super League (ISL), FC Goa established a three-point lead at the top. The Gaurs emerged victorious in an enthralling tie at Chennaiyin FC that ended up 3-4, in their favour.

Ahmed Jahouh, Brandon Fernandes and Hugo Boumous all got onto the score-sheet in the first half itself. However, the hosts showed resurgence in the second half as Andre Schembri and Rafael Crivellaro scored two minutes apart to reduce the gap. To pile more misery on the Marina Machans, Ferran Corominas struck his side's fourth to regain a two goal lead. His strike meant, Rafael Crivellaro's late second goal only came as a consolation.

On the other hand, in a blockbuster fixture this week, ATK overcame Bengaluru 1-0 at home. David Williams' superb drive early in the second half was everything the hosts needed to climb to the second spot.

Further down the ISL table, Mumbai City FC registered their third win in three games against Hyderabad FC. The win also means the Islanders are now unbeaten in their last six games. Last season's star performer Modou Sougou scored in either halves while Bobo pulled one back for the visitors.

Meanwhile at the Kalinga Stadium, Odisha FC registered their first win at home, against Jamshedpur FC. Aridane Santana delivered a brace including a superb volley in the first half. Aitor Monroy had equalised for the visitors but to no avail. The loss means the Men of Steel are now winless in their last five games. They certainly miss the magical touch of the injured Sergio Castel upfront.

In another much-anticipated match in Kochi, Kerala Blasters and NorthEast United played out a 1-1 draw. Bartholomew Ogbeche and Asamoah Gyan both scored from the spot for their respective sides.
