      Description

      Keto Puto Pao / Low Carb Puto Pao

      3/4 cup Almond Flour
      1/3 cup Coconut Flour
      1 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream or All-Purpose Cream
      3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
      4 medium Eggs
      2 tbsp Sweetener
      2 tbsp Cheddar Cheese (optional)
      Sea Salt

      For the fillings (remove the star anise & bay leaf after cooking):

      Instruction:

      1. Mix all the ingredients except for the cheese.
      2. Place the silicone cupcake mold in a steamer.
      3. Pour about 1 1/2 tbsp of puto mixture.
      4. Add the pork asado fillings.
      5. Pour 1 tbsp of puto mixture.
      6. Sprinkle some grated cheddar cheese on top of the puto mixture.
      7. Cover with a cloth (to avoid the moist to fall on the mixture).
      8. Cook in a medium heat from 10-12 minutes.
      9. Use a toothpick to check if it's already cooked.
      10. Serve.

      *** Puto pao is a type of steamed mini buns filled with pork asado or bola-bola popular in the Philippines. It is a small version of the Chinese Siopao.
