Lakhimpur violence: SC raises serious questions on status report of UP government
Today the UP government was to file a status report in the Supreme Court on the Lakhimpur violence case, but the Supreme Court has raised serious questions on it. The Supreme Court has said that it does not seem that the local officers will be able to investigate properly. Supreme Court lawyer Harish Salve was presenting the case on behalf of the UP government in the Supreme Court.

लखीमपुर हिंसा मामले पर आज यूपी सरकार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में स्टेटस रिपोर्ट फाइल करनी थी लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने उस पर गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि लगता नहीं है कि स्थानीय अफसर ठीक से जांच कर पाएंगे. सुप्रीम कोर्ट में यूपी सरकार की ओर से हरीश साल्वे उनका पक्ष रख रहे थे.
