overwatch community falling in toxicity ? can OW be saved?

Hello friends, I made this video as a caring member of the Overwatch community and as a small streamer myself, in hopes that it may influence streamers and gamers alike to change the way they treat each other.
I would like to approach the “streamers” which are currently being “toxic" on stream. As I am sure most of you already know, streamers have a responsibility towards their viewers. Their viewers are influenced by them, they may learn from them all sorts of things, from the positive ones as: great gameplay tips, about being a respectful person. On the contrary, they may influence them negatively as: teaching them how to be dominant no matter what, if it means cursing at teammates, disrespecting the enemy team, blaming everyone but yourself or even teaching people that cursing is the norm and OK.
At the end of the day the behavior of any kind of influencer, effects the way how our competitive looks and feels like.

In this specific scene (I decided to censor the streamer, as I do not wish to shame him in any way), which I took part of, the apposing team “streamer” can be seen doing anything he can in order to make his viewers see him as the best, and cannot challenged by any one. Which may be fine... Though as you can see here, he keeps on saying I’m that I am a bad player and clearly is trying to shame me. Unfortunately, this is not the first time he decided to do so.

Do not get me wrong, he really is a great player, he played really well and had some great kills on me.

I would like to emphasize that my motivation in making this video isn’t a stunt or trick to get a higher viewership or increasing my popularity by bashing another popular streamer. I would really like to use this platform to pass on the message to the steamers in our community, to try to understand the power and responsibility they have.
If we try to relook at ourselves as influencers, and are able to change our mindset to a positive one I truly believe that we will be able to have a huge positive impact on the community.
Please remember, your viewers are influenced by your attitude! In this case for example, which objectively both the doom player steamer and I did really well! This doesn’t mean the Mccree is bad by sometimes outplaying you. There definitely is a difference between a player throwing and a player trying his best on the hero he can play the best.
In conclusion, there is a respectful way to communicate between humans. Curses and toxicity just make the game unfun for both sides. Unfortunately, looking at it from my own personal point of view, the Overwatch community has become a toxic, negative and unbearable at times. I really do hope that together, we can try to change our attitude together for the best. We all need to try, if we want to make our community better.
