President Moon reassures public amid coronavirus outbreak

President Moon Jae-in has reassured the public that there's no need for excessive concern amid the coronavirus outbreak,... saying that the government is capable of overcoming the situation.
In a meeting with his top aides on Monday,... Moon said that the government is also looking at how to minimize the fallout on the economy, especially tourism and exports.
The government is working with companies for the swift normalization of operations of factories in China, and is allowing extended working hours for local firms. The government will deploy all possible means to support the situation. We will also draw up customized support measures depending on the industry, company and region, and speed up funding support for small business owners.
Highlighting that South Korea has one of the best medical systems in the world,... the president pointed out that some infected patients have been fully treated and discharged from hospital.
He added that medical experts don't see the virus as a serious illness in the country and noted its low fatality rate.
Moon also thanked the public for taking personal safety precautions.
