Coronavirus outbreak: B.C. declares state of emergency amid 3 new COVID-19 deaths

British Columbia’s top doctor, Dr. Bonnie Henry, declared a province-wide state of emergency on Tuesday as B.C. announced 83 new cases of COVID-19 and three new deaths related to the novel coronavirus.

The province has now recorded a total of 186 cases across the province.

Henry said Tuesday that two of the deaths are related to the ongoing outbreak at the Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver, while one was a man in his 80s in the Fraser Health region.
