Top 10 Most Polluted Cities in Africa.
Hello Displorers, welcome back to another informative video and thanks for watching. In today’s video, we shall be looking at the top 10 most polluted cities in Africa. Due to Africa’s natural environment, it is supposed to have one of the cleanest environments in the world, but efforts to grow the countries and cities to move from 3rd world to at least 2nd world has left many countries very polluted as an effect. Most African countries struggle with air pollution but few have formal regulations — or enforce them — against emissions. Rapid urbanization, population growth and traditional reliance on wood burning for cooking and heat have raised the level of pollution. The pollution index is used to measure how polluted a city is compared to the others. Pollution Index is an estimation of the overall pollution in the city. The pollution Scale uses an exponential scale to show very high numbers for very polluted cities and very low numbers for unpolluted cities. Therefore, to calculate formula it uses the exponential function to calculate the index. From the last data collected, the most polluted city in the world is Tetovo, in Macedonia with a pollution index of 97.33.
