Less than 51% of the U.S. is served by a comprehensive public health system. That’s bad news during a pandemic, which requires coordinated efforts to contain the spread of a virus like COVID-19.

The U.S. failed to contain the novel coronavirus, and now, epidemiologist Dr. Abdul El-Sayed says Americans are facing “the greatest single public health threat that we've seen in over 100 years.”
