Coronavirus outbreak: Alberta health officials report 49 new cases, 7 deaths in past 24 hours
Description
On Friday, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said there had been 49 new cases of COVID-19, with seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
The province now has a total of 1,500 COVID-19 cases, of which 713 have recovered, including 121 in the past 24 hours.
Dr. Hinshaw said 201 of the cases are a result of community transmission.
She said Alberta has conducted 2,123 tests in the past 24 hours, while over six thousand people have been referred for testing.
